I came across this recipe for Fresh Fruit Brioche Muffins yesterday. And, I happened to have some brioche dough in the freezer and some fruit on the counter begging to be used up, so how could I not make them? So easy, and so nice to look at....tasty too.

Riverfest

Today, summer arrived- our cooler-than-usual spring changing abruptly into a classic southern Ontario summer- 30C (feels like 40C!), complete with high humidity, smog & high pollen counts.

Today was also Riverfest- an annual celebration in Cambridge, Ontario. My mom is a member of the Ancient Mariners, a canoeing and hiking club. Every year they enter a team in the Dragonboat races at Riverfest. This year we went to watch, cheer on the team and have a picnic.
